The objectives of this proposal are to shed light on the imbalance of facial recognition technology by creating a poster that represents the identities of black individuals and the painful history that is still affecting minorities today.

The Cult of Thinness: To The Bone
​Analyzing both the film and Hesse-Biber’s essay are important because the two artifacts allow the audience to better understand the comparison between individuals with eating disorders and cult members who use whatever strategies they can find to get members to stay and engage in the bizarre practices. The comparison between patients admitted into the recovery program and cult members who are inducted into membership were visually portrayed by this film and further explained by Hesse-Biber. Ultimately, the film and essay emphasize the struggles and sacrifice that resulted from cult-like rituals surrounding eating disorders.

​Analyzing both the film and McIntosh’s essay are important because the two artifacts allow the audience to better understand the reasons behind the decisions that were made by white individuals. The existing gaps between social and racial divisions were visually portrayed by this film and further explained by McIntosh. Ultimately, the film and essay emphasize the struggles of female workers regarding race and privilege in male-dominated fields.

Maternity Leave Extension: The Guide for Long-Term Benefits
This paper seeks to inform individuals of the benefits of paid extended maternity leave. The United States offers twelve weeks of unpaid maternity leave. By analyzing the statistics regarding paid extended maternity leave, this paper explains the awareness required for individuals considering having children in the United States. This essay seeks to draw attention to the benefits of soon to be mothers and female workers as they are crucial human beings that influence, care, and guide children. This paper also encourages the United States to change the maternity leave policies as other developed countries are still prosperous with long-term maternity benefits. This paper argues that although companies and corporations are tight on expenses, the challenges of an employed mother can lead to a weaker productivity in the workplace which is not beneficial for the economy and society overall.

Coronavirus Disability Survey:
Assessing The Impact of COVID-19 on Young Adults with Disabilities
This paper seeks to inform individuals of the importance of digital inclusivity, diminish the digital divide, and accessibility to technological services of college students who experience a form of disability. The United States has conducted minimal research on the digital disability rhetoric, promoted minimal disability-inclusive measures to protect the rights and well-being of college students, and minimal assistance to mitigate Coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts to this population subgroup. Furthermore, this subject will benefit college students who argue in the favor of digital inclusion to help improve online rhetoric and become better equipped with communication technologies. Using survey research, this paper explains the experiences and solutions provided by college students to help alleviate the serious implications resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
